KVAS is more than a brand, it's a reflection of my journey, my family, and the values that shaped me. The name KVAS is a fusion of my own name, Kelvin Cuevas, but it also represents the blending of tradition, creativity, and heartfelt craftsmanship.
Growing up in the mountains of Honduras, I learned the meaning of hard work early. At just six years old, I was cutting coffee beans and harvesting corn and beans alongside my family. Those experiences didn’t just teach me resilience, they instilled in me a deep appreciation for dedication, community, and authenticity.
Although I have been living outside of Honduras for some time, the connection and love I share with my family have never faded. Distance has only strengthened our bond, and this deep connection is woven into every design I create. Along my journey, I have met people from different countries and cultures, whose stories and perspectives have inspired me to take action on my dream, turning KVAS into a brand that celebrates both my heritage and the diverse influences that shape our world.
KVAS was born from the desire to create something fun, meaningful, and personal. Each design is my own, crafted by hand, and named after members of my family. Their unique personalities are woven into every detail, making each bag more than just an accessory, it’s a story, a piece of my heart, and a tribute to the people who inspire me.
Even the KVAS logo carries a special meaning. It's inspired by the last teardrop from my mom, a symbol of love, strength, and the emotional depth that runs through everything I create. It serves as a reminder that behind every design is a story, a feeling, and a connection to something greater.

The story behind the Teardrop Logo
The teardrop logo holds a deeply personal significance for me. It marks a moment of connection and love during my mother’s final moments. As I whispered to her to go in peace and that everything would be alright, she shed a single tear. It was her way of saying goodbye, a silent yet profound expression of connection, love, and understanding. That tear became a defining symbol of strength, closure, and the enduring bond between us.
The teardrop is more than just a memory. It reflects the heart of my business, built on the foundation of family, love, and resilience. Each handbag I create is named after a family member, with its design inspired by their unique personality and the love we share.
In addition, the star in the center is a symbol of my mother’s enduring presence. When I look up at the night sky, I see the stars and feel her light guiding me. It serves as a reminder that those we love never truly leave us; they become part of the light that surrounds us. My older brother, who passed away at 21, is also a part of this guiding light. His memory, along with my mother’s, shines brightly through the logo, representing the strength and love that continues to inspire me every day.
Its elegant and reflective design embodies sophistication, symbolizing hope and the enduring brilliance of cherished memories. The teardrop not only honors my mother’s and brother’s memories but also serves as a reminder of the beauty in connection, both personal and universal.
Through this logo, I pay tribute to my family, celebrating the stories and moments that make us who we are, and invite others to carry a part of that legacy through my designs.
